WOODguard ITF™
Interior Transparent Finish
WOODguard ITF™ from the manufactures of WOODguard
forms a crystal clear water based finish especially designed
to highlight the wood grain on interior wood walls, posts, beams
& trim. It is not recommended for floors. The unique acrylic
resin system provides a breathable vapor permeable film, yet
seals out moisture, dust, dirt and household odors, including
those coming from fireplaces & wood stoves.
WOODguard ITF™ is a "milky white" liquid that
dries clear. It contains NO harsh chemicals or solvents, making
it VOC compliant and is easy to clean up with warm sudsy water.
It contains NO ammonia and doesn't have a harsh odor.
A two coat application offers you years of durability with a
(low sheen) satin finish that will provide you with a mildew
resistant, water repellent film that can be cleaned with mild
household cleaners, even those containing ammonia, as well as
plain soap and water.
Apply to new lightly sanded wood surfaces. Lacquer, shellac,
wax, grease, dirt and old finishes should be removed before
application. Expect 500 square feet per gallon for smooth wood
and 250 square feet per gallon on rough wood. The second coat
will cover a greater surface area than the first. We recommend
very lightly sanding between coats.
